Getting started

What exactly does Post Care Partners do?

We provide non-medical, in-home support. Our specialty is post-surgical recovery, and we also offer ongoing companion care and personal care. Your care partner can help with transportation, meal preparation, companionship, light housekeeping, errands, bathing, dressing, mobility, and care coordination. We handle daily logistics so you can focus on healing and living well at home.

Do I need to be having surgery to work with you?

No. Post-surgical recovery is our specialty, but we also provide ongoing companion care and personal care for anyone who wants support at home, whether you’re aging in place, managing a health condition, or just need an extra hand. Schedules range from a few hours a week to full-time care.

How is this different from home health care?

Home health care provides medical services such as nursing, wound care, and therapy, but it requires a doctor referral and visits are limited to scheduled appointments — not day-long support. Home health providers are not there all day or for the full duration of your recovery. We provide non-medical daily support including transportation, meals, companionship, errands, and home setup throughout your recovery. Many clients use both services together.

When should I contact you before my surgery?

We recommend contacting us 2–4 weeks before surgery. This gives us time to complete your consultation and build your plan. If your timeline is shorter, reach out and we will do our best to help.

Is there an age requirement?

Yes. We provide care for adults 18 and older only. We do not provide care for children or minors.

What area do you serve?

We serve Scottsdale and nearby communities in the greater Phoenix area. If you are unsure whether we cover your address, contact us and we will confirm.

Services

What’s included in Surgery Day Support and Extended Surgery Day Support?

Surgery Day Support covers your ride to and from your procedure, help with discharge, prescription pickup, and getting you settled at home. It’s a great fit if a family member or friend can take over once you’re home. Extended Surgery Day Support includes all of that, plus a care partner who stays with you through the first 24 hours after surgery, including overnight, for patients who live alone or don’t have someone available to stay.

Can I customize my care plan?

Yes. With Personalized Recovery Care, your plan is built around your procedure, recovery timeline, living situation, and preferences, from a few hours a day to more complete support.

What types of surgery do you support recovery for?

We support recovery for many procedures, including joint replacement, cardiac, abdominal, orthopedic, eye, dental, and plastic surgery. If your procedure will limit mobility or daily tasks, we can usually help.

Do you help with recovery after hospitalization, not just surgery?

Yes. While many of our clients are recovering from a planned surgery, we also support patients coming home after an unexpected hospitalization — a cardiac event, a serious illness, or a fall. The need for support during those first days home is the same either way.

Our care partners

Who are your care partners?

Our care partners are certified nursing assistants (CNAs) with medical training and experience in caregiving. Every care partner is verified through APS registry checks, fingerprinted through the Arizona Level 1 clearance process, and undergoes a thorough background screening. Our team is fully insured and bonded.

If your care partners are CNAs, do you provide medical care?

No. Our care partners’ CNA training means they know what to watch for and when to involve your medical team, but our services are strictly non-medical. We do not provide wound care, IV therapy, medication administration, bandage or dressing changes, or head-to-toe assessments. We do help with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and mobility, plus transportation, errands, meals, housekeeping, and companionship.

How are your care partners verified?

All Post Care Partners are verified through APS (Adult Protective Services) registry checks, fingerprinted through the Arizona Level 1 clearance process, and undergo a thorough background screening. Our team is also fully insured and bonded. We take these steps so you can feel confident about who is in your home during recovery.

Will I have the same care partner throughout my recovery?

We assign a primary care partner whenever possible so your support stays consistent throughout recovery.

Cost & insurance

Does insurance cover your services?

Our services are private-pay and are not covered by traditional health insurance or Medicare. We can provide documentation if you want to request possible HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account) reimbursement.

How much do your services cost?

Pricing depends on the service and how much support you need. We provide clear pricing during your free consultation, with no hidden fees.

Logistics

What happens on surgery day?

Your care partner picks you up from the hospital or surgical center, helps you settle in at home, reviews your discharge instructions, and confirms your next appointments.

What if I need help outside of scheduled visits?

All clients have access to 24/7 phone support. If you have a question between visits, call us anytime. For emergencies, call 911 first.

What if my condition worsens during recovery?

If you have concerns about how you are feeling, we will help you contact your care provider and review your discharge instructions for guidance. For any emergency, call 911 immediately. We are here to support you and make sure the right people are notified when something doesn’t feel right.

Can my family be involved in the care plan?

Yes. We can include family in planning and provide updates so everyone stays informed.
